I love being a mommy...

So I was driving home today from doing marketing around the upstate and looked in the review mirror at my 3 year old. I realized again how much I love her. I love teaching her something or trying to teach her something, and then her teaching it back to me a few days later. I love how even though she loves to play at the park and run around with her friends, she will still curl up in my lap and play with my hair like she did when she was teeny tiny. I love how she trusts me with all her heart and I am her best friend. Even though I love my husband with all my heart, I still love when it is just Lydia and I hanging out at the house. I love teaching her to be girly and seeing her eyes light up when she finds a princess shirt that she absolutely can't live without (or so she tells me). I especially love the fact that she is sweet to her baby dolls. That lets me know that even on my worst days of being a mommy, she still saw how I treated her with love and cuddled her near me. Most of all, I love the fact that she knows who Jesus is. I am so happy that I was able to teach her this at a young age and instill in her a testimony of her Savior and a knowledge that she is a precious daughter of our Heavenly Father. I love when she prays and asks Heavenly Father to bless Jesus so he can keep the thunder away from our house when it is 90 degrees and sunny outside. I love being a mommy!

Numero Uno..

The begining....

Ok so I am falling prey to the world of blogging and am starting a record of our adventures...hopefully this won't come back to haunt me in the future. Here's an update on everybody and it might help understand future blogs!!!

David-according to Lydia he fixes owies on ambulances and tickles her nonstop.

Taryn-loves working from home and doing all the cliche things that a stay at home mommy does. Yes this means I have succombed to the world of casseroles and homemade bread. Watch out Martha Stewart, I am not far behind.

Lydia-claims herself to be batspidersupergirl. Yes...that is all one word according to her. She is the boss of our family and loves writing the memoirs of her life in various places in the house...Thank you Mr. Clean for your oh so wonderful magic erasers.
